German AfD Presents Programme Including Deportations of Ukrainians and Policy Shift on Russia
Germany’s Alternative for Germany (AfD) has unveiled a new programme ahead of elections in Saxony-Anhalt, outlining plans to tighten migration policy, including the deportation of Ukrainians, the Unian news agency reports.
The programme also includes proposals to change Germany’s approach to Russia, such as lifting sanctions and resuming gas supplies via Nord Stream.
In addition, the document sets out measures including abolishing the right to asylum and withdrawing from the Paris climate agreement. The AfD refers to the concept of “remigration” and proposes a stricter approach to both illegal and legal migration.
The party also calls for a reassessment of current Russia policy and proposes strengthening cultural and economic ties with Moscow. Critics have warned that such policies could have broader implications for Germany and the region.
