Orban Says He Will Win as Opposition Calls Election Historic
Hungary is holding parliamentary elections that, according to Prime Minister Viktor Orban, will determine the country’s future.
After casting his vote in Budapest, he said he was “going to win”. Meanwhile, Peter Magyar, leader of the opposition Tisza party, described the vote as historic and said voters were deciding between an eastward or westward direction.
Magyar also expressed confidence that his party could win, citing the prospect of record turnout.
He stressed that every vote would be decisive and urged citizens to report any irregularities during the voting process. He added that electoral fraud is a serious crime.
