Police Respond to Threat Against Israeli Embassy in London

Police in London responded to a reported threat against the Israeli embassy and temporarily closed Kensington Gardens, later reopening the area after confirming that no dangerous substances were present.

Security measures were introduced after a video circulated online showing a pro-Iranian group suggesting a drone attack on the embassy. The footage depicted drones, two individuals and a message identifying the Israeli embassy in London as the target.

Police discovered suspicious objects in the vicinity, but specialists determined that they were not hazardous. Authorities are continuing to assess whether the items are linked to the video.

In response, police increased their presence, cordoned off the area around the embassy and restricted access to nearby Kensington Gardens and surrounding streets.

Counter-terrorism officers said there had been no attack on the embassy, but added that they were working closely with its security team to ensure the site remains protected.

The investigation is ongoing, and police have not yet said whether the threat reflected a credible capability to carry out an attack or was intended as intimidation through a propaganda video.
