Trump Team Explores Gaza Reconstruction with Dubai Firm

President Donald Trump’s Peace Council is reportedly exploring ways to work with Dubai-based multinational DP World in the post-war reconstruction of Gaza, the Financial Times reported.

A central focus is logistics, ranging from the delivery of humanitarian aid to technological systems for tracking and securing goods.

More ambitious proposals are also under discussion, including the construction of a new port and the creation of a trade zone.

Gaza remains in a severe condition after two years of conflict. Bombing has destroyed around four-fifths of buildings, and reconstruction costs are estimated at $70bn. For now, however, the talks remain preliminary and no official commitments have been confirmed.

Trump has presented the Peace Council as a tool to end the war. His plan envisages the withdrawal of Israeli troops in exchange for the disarmament of Hamas, a central but contentious condition.
