Russia Seeks US Talks as Ukraine Negotiations Stall

The Kremlin hopes to continue diplomatic contacts with the United States in an effort to find a solution to the war in Ukraine.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said US envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner could visit Russia again to discuss a possible peace settlement, although no date has been set.

Meanwhile, US-mediated talks have reportedly stalled. They have been disrupted by rising tensions in the Middle East following US and Israeli attacks on Iran, which have triggered a series of retaliatory strikes in the region.
