Google Unveils AI Agents in Enterprise Push

Google is significantly stepping up its AI and enterprise strategy. At its cloud conference, the company introduced “AI agents,” advanced digital assistants designed to make decisions and carry out tasks autonomously.

Google is betting that these tools will help monetize AI and attract enterprise customers, an increasingly important source of revenue.

The company has also consolidated products under the Gemini Enterprise brand and expanded its Vertex AI platform, which allows businesses to build their own AI solutions. It also unveiled new TPU chips optimized for model training and faster agent response.

Google appears to be trying to catch up with rivals such as Amazon and Microsoft while also responding to pressure from OpenAI and Anthropic.

The focus is shifting away from code generation and toward practical AI deployment in enterprises. That strategy is already showing results, with Google Cloud steadily gaining market share.
