Kyiv Warns Israel Over Grain From Occupied Lands
Ukraine has warned Israel of possible diplomatic and legal consequences if it allows the vessel Panormitis to dock at Haifa harbor. According to a Ukrainian source, the ship is carrying grain from Russian-occupied territory, which Kyiv considers stolen.
The Israeli daily Haaretz reported that the vessel is awaiting permission to unload its cargo and that similar shipments have already arrived in the country this year.
Kyiv has described the practice as unacceptable, calling it "laundering stolen goods", and suggested that Israel has so far failed to respond to previous Ukrainian objections. The Ukrainian side is monitoring the ship's movements and has indicated that permitting it to dock could affect bilateral relations.
The Israeli Foreign Ministry did not immediately comment.
