Ukraine Summons Israeli Envoy Over Grain Dispute
Ukraine has summoned the Israeli ambassador amid a dispute over grain supplies from occupied territories, which Kyiv describes as “stolen”.
Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha criticized Israel for what he called an inadequate response to previous cases and warned that accepting such goods could damage bilateral relations. Another ship carrying similar cargo was reportedly due to arrive in Haifa, with media reports indicating that several shipments have already been unloaded this year.
Israel denies the allegations. Foreign Minister Gideon Saar said Ukraine had not provided evidence that the grain was illegally sourced and criticized Kyiv for conducting diplomacy through the media and social networks. He added that the case would be reviewed.
Ukrainian sources have also indicated that legal and diplomatic action is possible if Israel does not reject the shipments.
