Trump Approval Falls to 34% Amid Iran War and Rising Prices
US President Donald Trump's approval rating has fallen to 34%, its lowest level since he returned to office in January 2025, according to the latest Reuters/Ipsos poll.
Public dissatisfaction centres on the rising cost of living and the consequences of the US-Israeli war with Iran. Gasoline prices have risen by more than 40% since the conflict began, hitting American households hard.
Support among Republicans remains high, but criticism is growing within their ranks, particularly on the economy. Only around a fifth of respondents approve of Trump's handling of the cost of living. Independent voters are increasingly leaning toward the Democrats, though a large proportion remain undecided.
The situation is compounded by uncertainty in global oil markets, as tensions in the Gulf continue to limit supplies.
