Iran Embassy Appeal in London Raises Security Concerns
According to the Daily Mail, the Iranian embassy in London has called on people living in the UK to join the “Jan Fada” program, which is linked to the idea of sacrificing one’s life for the regime.
The appeal, published on the embassy’s official channel, was addressed to “Iranian compatriots” and urged them to show loyalty and solidarity.
The post also included language referring to a willingness to “hand over a body to die” in the name of defending the country.
The program was launched recently and, according to Iranian officials, is intended to support the homeland. The embassy has denied that it promotes hostilities.
Nevertheless, the initiative has raised concerns among security experts and parts of the public.
Analysts warn it could represent an attempt to radicalize individuals on British soil. They say such a campaign may appeal to ideologically motivated people and encourage actions in support of the Iranian regime.
Australian police are already investigating similar activity linked to the Iranian embassy in Canberra.
British security services are also responding, with renewed calls for tougher action against Iranian-linked structures. In that context, a possible ban on the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), which parts of the UK political leadership have previously supported, is again being discussed.
