Another Labour Minister Quits Amid Leadership Crisis

Pressure on British Prime Minister Keir Starmer continues to grow on Tuesday after Alex Davies-Jones, a junior justice minister, resigned over what he described as failures in the government’s leadership.

Davies-Jones announced his resignation in a letter to the prime minister published on X, saying the government had failed to act decisively enough.

“We needed to do more and it is with a very heavy heart that I feel I have no choice but to resign”, he wrote.

He is the latest government member to step down in protest at Starmer’s leadership.
