US Intelligence: Iran Retained Most of Its Missile Arsenal
Classified US intelligence assessments suggest that Iran has retained a substantial portion of its military capability following the war with the United States and Israel. According to the findings, reported by the New York Times, Iran has restored access to most of its missile bases near the Strait of Hormuz as well as an extensive network of underground storage and launch facilities.
Tehran is said to retain around 70% of its mobile missile systems and a similar share of its original arsenal of ballistic and cruise missiles.
This contradicts public statements by President Donald Trump and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, both of whom have claimed to have virtually destroyed Iran's military.
US media have also warned that another conflict could place significant strain on American missile and ammunition stockpiles. While the Pentagon rejects claims of a critical weapons shortage, concern is growing among US allies in Europe.
