Hungary to Release More Fuel from Strategic Reserves

The Hungarian government has announced that it will begin releasing additional fuel from the country's strategic reserves from next week.

After the first meeting of the new government, Prime Minister Peter Magyar said that fuel supply security was not yet under threat.

Budapest took a similar step in February under former prime minister and Fidesz leader Viktor Orban, when Hungary released 250,000 tonnes of crude oil from Russia following a disruption to supplies via the Druzhba pipeline.
