Malta to Give All Residents Free Access to ChatGPT Plus
US company OpenAI has agreed with the government of Malta to provide all residents of the country with access to ChatGPT Plus for one year. The condition is the completion of a free course on the use of artificial intelligence.
The program will launch in May and expand gradually depending on the number of people who complete the course. Maltese citizens living abroad will also be able to participate.
Malta's Economy Minister Silvio Schembri said the project aims to make AI a practical tool for families, students and workers.
Malta is the first country to launch such a program in collaboration with OpenAI. The company did not disclose the financial terms of the agreement.
