Axios: The White House knew about the Israeli attack on Qatar before it began
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu informed US President Donald Trump that Israel had already planned an attack on Hamas leaders in Qatar before last week's attack. This was reported by the Axios agency, citing seven Israeli representatives.
They specified that the White House's statements were not true, even though there was little time to prevent the attack. The White House had previously stated that it had only been informed after the missiles had already been launched, leaving Donald Trump with no opportunity to oppose the attack.
According to local media, Israel dropped ten bombs on Doha last week, focusing on Hamas chief negotiator Khalil Hajja.
Hamas responded by reporting that six people had been killed in the attack—Khalil Hajja's son, his office manager, three bodyguards, and a Qatari security official. The movement's negotiators themselves survived the attack, according to their statement.
On the day of the attack, Netanyahu declared that the country would take “full responsibility” for the air strike on Qatar.
