Babiš's ANO party extends its lead in Czechia. And that's one week before the elections

Czech billionaire and former Prime Minister Andrej Babiš and his ANO party have slightly extended their lead over the ruling center-right SPOLU coalition in a STEM poll for CNN Prima News. This comes shortly before the Chamber of Deputies elections, which will take place on October 3 and 4, 2025.

The poll found that ANO would receive 29.3 percent of the vote, up from the 28 percent STEM measured in its previous poll. At the same time, the ruling SPOLU party fell from 21 percent to 20.5 percent.

Behind them in the poll is the SPD with 13.4 percent. The liberal parties STAN and Piráti would receive 11.7 percent and 10.1 percent of the vote, respectively.

The left-wing party Stačilo! with 5.5 percent and the right-wing party Motoristi with 5.9 percent would also enter the Chamber of Deputies.

No party will achieve a majority in the 200-member Chamber of Deputies, so coalitions will have to be formed. If ANO wins, it is expected to negotiate with smaller parties to form a government.
