Orbán warns against EU's “pro-war proposals,” stance on Ukraine remains unchanged

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has reiterated that Hungary will maintain its stance on Ukraine. At the summit in Copenhagen, he criticized the proposals made by EU leaders, which he believes clearly point to further military involvement by the Union in the conflict.

He claims that there are pro-war plans on the negotiating table that include both financing weapons for Ukraine and attempting to accelerate EU accession through legal tricks.

According to Orbán, the situation is serious, and Hungary refuses to be drawn into the war. His statement, “I will stand firm on the Hungarian position,” signals once again his refusal to participate in arms initiatives against Russia.

The prime minister published his position on social media.
