Russian forces attack UN aid convoy in the Kherson region

Russian forces attacked a United Nations aid convoy in the Ukrainian region of Kherson on Tuesday. According to local authorities, the attack damaged and destroyed several vehicles transporting aid supplies. The Kyiv Post reported on this.

The governor of the Kherson region, Oleksandr Prokudin, stated on the Telegram platform that in the village of Bilozerka, the occupiers used drones and artillery to strike four white trucks marked with the logo of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).

One vehicle was completely burned out, another was severely damaged, while two cars were saved. No casualties were reported.

Prokudin wrote about the attack that the “second army in the world” had destroyed several tons of humanitarian aid and called the attackers terrorists.

This incident is not the first attack by Russian forces on humanitarian missions in Ukraine. In September, Russian missiles struck a humanitarian mine clearance team in Chernihiv, killing several people.

In July, a drone struck the base of a Norwegian aid team in Mykolaiv, and in June, an aid warehouse in Zaporizhzhia was damaged, before the town hall in Donbas was later destroyed.
