Trump threatens military intervention in Nigeria if killings of Christians do not stop

US President Donald Trump warned on the Truth Social platform that the US would immediately stop all aid to Nigeria if the government there continued to tolerate the murder of Christians.

Trump called for tough action against “Islamist terrorists” and announced that he had instructed the War Department to prepare for a possible military operation.

“If we attack, it will be swift, cruel, and sweet, just like the terrorist criminals attack our beloved Christians!” Trump wrote.

The president's words contained direct threats to “march into this desecrated country with weapons in hand.”
