Zelensky: Every Ukrainian can travel 3,000 kilometers by train free of charge

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has unveiled the new UZ-3000 program, which aims to give all Ukrainians access to rail transport, reports the portal Ekonomicka pravda.

Under this initiative, every citizen will have the opportunity to travel up to 3,000 kilometers across Ukraine free of charge with the state railway company.

The program is intended to respond to the need for affordable transportation and at the same time show that public finances actually serve the citizens.

Although the project is still in the preparatory phase, according to Zelensky, there are already concrete proposals from Ukrainian Railways.

The initiative builds on previous efforts to provide social support to the population, such as the winter program, which allowed Ukrainians to spend 1,000 hryvnia on basic expenses.
