Ukraine prepares negotiations to end war, Zelensky approves delegation

In the coming days, Ukraine is going to consult with its international partners on the next steps towards ending the Russian aggression. This was announced on Saturday by the office of President Volodymyr Zelensky, according to which the head of state has already approved the composition of the official negotiating delegation.

The team will be headed by the head of the presidential office Andriy Yermak and will include top representatives of the security and defence sectors. The delegation has also been given a mandate for the forthcoming negotiations with allies, which are to cover the possibilities of achieving peace and further coordinating action against Russia.

"Ukraine will never be an obstacle to peace," the statement said. "The representatives of the Ukrainian state will unwaveringly defend the legitimate interests of the Ukrainian people and the foundations of European security."

The announcement comes at a time when discussions on the White House's 28-point plan are intensifying in the diplomatic arena. At the same time, Kiev stresses that any solution must respect international law and Ukraine's territorial integrity.
