EU court: Netherlands can sue Apple for app store practices
The Court of Justice of the European Union ruled on Tuesday that Dutch courts have jurisdiction in a case brought against Apple's app store by two local foundations for alleged anti-competitive conduct.
Apple had argued that the Dutch court did not have jurisdiction because the alleged damaging event did not occur in the Netherlands.
That court therefore referred the question to the Union judicial authority in Luxembourg.
