Russia attacked a heating plant in Kherson, causing serious damage

Russian forces have attacked an important heating plant in the city of Kherson in southern Ukraine. The strike caused "significant damage", according to state gas company Naftogaz.

The plant supplied heat to tens of thousands of households in Kherson. Russia has significantly stepped up strikes on Ukraine's critical infrastructure in recent months.

The Ukrainian military managed to hit the Syzran refinery in Samara, Russia, overnight. In contrast, Moscow also claims that Russian forces do not have full control over the southeastern city of Hulyapol.
