The next round of negotiations between Russia and Ukraine will take place in a week's time.

The next round of talks between Ukraine and Russia, brokered by the United States, will take place next Sunday in Abu Dhabi, a US official said on Saturday, praising the progress made during the last two days of talks, even though they ended without an agreement on Saturday.

"We saw a lot of respect in the room between the parties because they were really trying to find solutions," the official, who wished to remain anonymous, told reporters after the talks.

"We got into very detailed discussions, and next Sunday, God willing, there will be another meeting where we will push to conclude this agreement," he added.
