Obama: Minneapolis shooting is a warning to Americans
Former President Barack Obama condemned President Donald Trump for the death of Alex Pretti in Minneapolis. He said that "this must stop" and accused his successor of "desiring to escalate the situation". The information was reported by the American daily New York Post.
"The murder of Alex Pretti is a heartbreaking tragedy," Obama said in a statement released on X on Sunday. "It should also be a wake-up call to all Americans, regardless of political affiliation, that many of our core values as a nation are increasingly under threat."
"People across the country were rightly outraged at the sight of masked ICE and other federal agents acting with impunity and using tactics that seemed designed to intimidate, harass, provoke, and threaten the residents of a major American city," the former president wrote.
