Lukashenko orders extensive inspection of army combat readiness
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has ordered an extensive check of the combat readiness of the armed forces to test the army's ability to respond to possible threats to the country. As part of the exercises, Belarusian soldiers are participating in training with drones and electronic warfare, practicing the defense of military facilities, and working with modern technologies, according to Forbes.
Lukashenko announced that the operation will continue at least until spring and that "reservists" have also been involved. Ukraine is closely monitoring the situation, pointing to Belarus' role during the Russian invasion. In the past, Minsk allowed Russian troops to attack from Belarusian territory and provided logistical support.
Although Russia later limited its presence in Belarus, Lukashenko continues to declare his willingness to provide the country as a base for Russian forces.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has warned that Russia is also using Belarus for drone operations, which, according to Kyiv, increases security risks in the region.
