Bill Gates apologises for contact with Epstein
At an internal meeting with employees of the Gates Foundation, Bill Gates admitted to making a ‘big mistake’ by repeatedly meeting financier Jeffrey Epstein after his conviction.
According to the Wall Street Journal, he apologised to staff for involving the foundation’s leadership in his contacts with Epstein.
‘It was a mistake, and I take responsibility for it,’ he said, according to the meeting minutes. At the same time, he stressed that he had never met Epstein’s victims and had not witnessed anything illegal.
Documents from the US Department of Justice confirm that the two men met after Epstein’s release from prison, reportedly in connection with philanthropic projects. The foundation stated that Epstein neither worked for it nor received any funds from it.
