Trump insists it’s too late for Iran to negotiate

US President Donald Trump has declared that the United States has sufficient weapons reserves to wage war 'forever'. He wrote on social media that the US has 'virtually unlimited' ammunition and is ready to 'win'.

He also said that Tehran wants to negotiate, but according to him it is too late, while the United States continues its military operation against Iran.

'Their air defence, air force, navy and leadership are destroyed. They want to negotiate. I said, "Too late!"' Trump wrote on the social network Truth Social.

The conflict in the Middle East entered its fourth day after US and Israeli airstrikes against Iran on Saturday. Trump said on Monday that the operation was originally expected to last four to five weeks, but the United States is 'well ahead of schedule'. 'However long it takes, it's fine. We will do what is necessary,' he said before a ceremony at the White House.

Trump has previously criticised the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and promised during his campaign that he would not start new conflicts. Part of the MAGA movement has expressed reservations about the attacks on Iran, although most Republicans support the president. Trump has not yet addressed the situation in a televised speech to the nation.
