Iran is an exporter of war, Kallasová declared

Iran is trying to escalate the conflict in the Middle East by recklessly attacking other countries in the region, EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas said on Thursday.

"Iran is an exporter of war. Currently, the regime is trying to drag as many countries as possible into this war," Kallas told reporters.

When asked if she thinks Iran is trying to drag NATO into the conflict and if the EU has a strategy to avoid involvement, Kallas accused Tehran of trying to "sow chaos" in the region and "recklessly" attacking other countries.

Kallas said that Iran had been significantly weakened and that she saw an opportunity for the Iranian people to "decide their own future." She noted that the EU continues to work through diplomatic channels to ease tensions in the region.
