Ukraine has sent air defense experts to the Middle East
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukraine has sent air defence experts to Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. According to Kyiv, the move is a response to Iran’s recent air strikes on these countries.
The president’s communications adviser said Ukrainian specialists have also been deployed to a US military base in Jordan. However, details about their tasks or numbers have not yet been disclosed.
Zelenskyy also said the Ukrainian army had struck a Russian missile production plant in the Bryansk region. According to him, the plant produced control systems for various types of missiles used by the Russian army. Kyiv said the operation was aimed at weakening Russian military capabilities.
Russian authorities confirmed the attack. Bryansk region governor Alexander Bogomaz said the missile strike caused casualties and injuries, but did not provide further details.
