Women call for probe into ex-Elite chief’s Epstein links
A group of 15 women on Thursday called on French authorities to reopen scrutiny of the activities of former Elite modelling agency boss Gérald Marie and his possible ties to Jeffrey Epstein. They said new facts and evidence could now lead to a deeper examination of the case.
Fashion Network reports that Lisa Brinkworth, a former BBC journalist, together with ex-model Ebba Karlsson, has submitted a letter to the Paris prosecutor’s office offering court documents and emails suggesting links between Marie, Epstein and Jean-Luc Brunel.
They also note that Marie has faced allegations of sexual offences in the past, but an investigation was dropped in 2023 due to the statute of limitations.
Several of the signatories say they experienced sexual violence in France as young women, some of whom were reportedly minors at the time.
However, they say the situation is changing after the Paris prosecutor’s office opened new investigations related to Epstein, which could pave the way for a re-examination of the entire case.
