Ufa faced attack by Ukrainian drones, oil refineries were targeted

Russian anti-aircraft systems have thwarted an attack by Ukrainian drones on the city of Ufa in Bashkortostan, local governor Ravi Khabirov said.

The drones were to target oil refineries in the city, with specific objects not specified.

According to available information, the drones were shot down before hitting their targets, but their debris caused a small fire on a building under construction in one of the city's districts.

Bashkortostan, located at the foot of the southern Urals, is one of the regions that have recently been targeted in similar operations. Ufa itself is about 1 400 kilometres from the Russian-Ukrainian border.
