Fourth suspect held over Pardubice attack

The investigation into the arson attack on a Czech optics and drone factory is gathering pace. Police have arrested a fourth suspect, who has been remanded in custody. He is a Czech citizen, but the authorities have not disclosed further details.

The attack in Pardubice caused damage worth millions of dollars and was claimed by a pro-Palestinian group, which said the target was linked to the company’s alleged ties to Israel. The company disputes that claim.

The case also has an international dimension, with an Egyptian, a Czech and an American among those detained in Slovakia. Several of the accused, however, deny wrongdoing. Police have indicated that the investigation is ongoing and may lead to further arrests.
