Hungary Strikes Energy and HIMARS Deals With US

Hungary concludes energy and arms deals with the US during the visit of US Vice President James David Vance to Budapest. This was confirmed by Gergely Gulyas, head of the government office.

According to him, US-Hungarian economic cooperation has reached a record level. MOL is to buy 510 thousand tons of oil from the USA in the next few weeks, worth about 500 million dollars.

At the same time, the 4iG technology group will be involved in military projects. The Hungarian government is planning to purchase $700 million worth of HIMARS missile systems, with 4iG to ensure their integration into the armed forces.

The company has also agreed with the US company L3Harris to develop communications systems for HIMARS and with Northrop Grumman to develop a satellite system for Hungary.

The agreements follow discussions in Washington and signal a further deepening of cooperation between Budapest and Washington.
