Slovakia Defence Ministry Buys Furniture Worth Millions

Slovakia’s Ministry of Defence, led by Minister Robert Kalinak (Smer), has purchased furniture and exterior blinds worth more than €3m ($3.3m). The contract was published in the central register.

The document does not specify which items the ministry’s housing agency has ordered. It states that the majority of the budget, more than €2.4m ($2.6m), is allocated to equipment for “Object Star”.

In addition to the equipment, the supplier Drevona Interiors and its subcontractors will provide transportation, installation and waste disposal related to the new furniture.

The order must be delivered within 10 weeks of the contract entering into force on 10 April.
