Poland Cancels Kanye West Concert Over Legal Concerns

Representatives of the Slaski Stadium in Chorzow, Poland, announced on Friday that a planned concert by Kanye West, who now goes by Ye, will not take place. The show had been scheduled for 19 June 2026, but stadium management cited formal and legal reasons for the cancellation.

The decision follows a series of controversies surrounding the artist. Ye recently postponed a concert in France after renewed criticism over anti-Semitic remarks and statements related to Nazism. The United Kingdom has also barred him from entering the country, where he had been due to perform at a festival.

Polish authorities had previously signalled opposition to the event. Culture Minister Marta Cienkowska stated that in a country shaped by the legacy of the Holocaust, such a performance could not be treated as mere entertainment.

Although Ye has issued apologies for some of his conduct this year, his appearances continue to trigger political reactions and public backlash.
